How to create free programs?

Overview

Often, you will want to create programs that are free or no-cost.  It’s built for events like community gatherings, information sessions, trial classes, fundraisers, or any activity aimed at attracting, educating, or giving back, rather than generating revenue. You still get the full power of registration, capacity limits, waivers, forms, and communication tools. 

Before you begin

  1. Admins or staff with permission. For more information about staff access, visit How to manage staff and permissions?
  2. Setup is done in the Classic Admin dashboard.

How do I set up a free program?

When setting up a program, use $0 as the tuition amount. Registrants would be able to register, and no payment would be required at checkout.
If you like, we also have a setting to hide the tuition label from the registration page. The $0 will still appear in the cart but will not be displayed on the actual registration page.
Go to Settings > Checkout > Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section and check the box to hide the price. Click Save.
NotesNote: You will be able to set this for all programs or Selected programs.
Then, scroll further down to the "Free Programs with Zero Tuition" section. Check the Do not show the tuition if the amount is zero" box, and enter your desired text (e.g., "Free" or "Free program") in the provided field. Click Save.
