How can admins reset a family’s password?

Overview

As an admin, you can reset the password of a user/parent by accessing their family’s dashboard through the admin panel. You can update the password directly and then inform the parent so they can log in again.

Who is involved

Admin: Accesses the family dashboard and updates the password.
Family: Receives the updated password and uses it to log in to their account.

Description of steps

  1. Go to the People > Families in the admin dashboard.
  1. Find the family whose password needs to be updated.
  1. Hover over the Action menu next to their record, select View family dashboard.


  1. This opens the family’s dashboard.
  1. Click the name in the top-right corner and go to Account settings.


  1. Click on Change in the password section and follow the steps.


  1. Inform the parent of the new password so they can log in to their account.
  1. For security reasons, ask the parent to change the password after login from the Account settings
