Overview
Set up scholarships and financial aid as a payment method for selected participants. Eligible users can apply for them during registration, and all usage is tracked in reports, so you can see who registered with a scholarship.

Before you begin
✅ Setup is done in the NG admin dashboard.
✅ You must be a business owner to enable scholarships.
Description of steps
Enabling scholarship and financial aid
Navigate to NG admin dashboard > Settings > Payment methods. Find Offline payments, then click Connect.
From the payment types dropdown, select Scholarship and Financial aid, complete the remaining fields as needed, and click Connect.
What families will see
After completing the registration steps and reaching the payment selection page, users will see an option labeled Scholarship.
Handling scholarship registrations
When a participant selects Scholarship as their payment method during registration, no payment is required at checkout, and the registration is completed immediately.
To record the scholarship amount afterward, go to Seasons > Chosen Season > Programs & Enrollments > hover over the program > View Enrollments > hover over the participant > Take a Payment.
On the payment page:
Enter the scholarship amount.
Select I have already received the payment.
From the payment method dropdown, choose Scholarships.
Click Continue.
A confirmation page will appear. If you need, you can send a confirmation email to the user. Once you confirm, the participant’s details will be updated.
This ensures the participant’s balance is accurately updated while reflecting that a scholarship covered the payment.
